(Tulsa, Oklahoma) - Comedy acts from around the country will join together in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to perform on Sunday, April 17, 2005, at Tulsa Comedy Club. “Comedy For Freedom” will benefit the Freedom Girls Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Tulsa to promote freedom in America and the sale of Patriot U.S. Savings Bonds.

“This is truly an American effort. These performers are donating their time and waiving their performance fees in an effort to promote freedom in America at a time when we really need it,” said Susan Dale, director and founder of the Freedom Girls Foundation. Dale will be the shows emcee and will perform her act at the show.

Headlining the show will be Howard Moore, of Long Island, New York. Moore has appeared on over fifteen shows including Phil Donahue, Geraldo, and Sally Jessy Raphael. He has also appeared on BET’s ComicView, Comedy Central Stand-Up and New York’s “Comic Justice.” Other headliners include Damon Williams, Buddy Big Mountain and David Graham. Williams is from Chicago and has performed on BET’s ComicView since 1994. He hosted his own one-hour television special, and has appeared on Showtime at the Apollo. Buddy Big Mountain is the shows only ventriloquist. He is the first internationally recognized Native American Master Ventriloquist Puppeteer. His blend of Native American comedy, ventriloquism, singing, and magic has delighted audiences around the globe. Buddy lives in Buena Park, California, and is a registered member of the Mohawk of Kahnawake Tribe of Canada. Graham appeared in an open-mike contest in 1992 at the Funny Bone Comedy Club in St. Louis, Mo. He won the contest and was hooked on comedy. His brand of physical, high-energy comedy led him to appear on the ABC-TV series “America’s Funniest People”, and later on Comedy Central’s “Comic Justice”. He has also appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”

“Comedy for Freedom” will feature three performances beginning at 1:00pm, Sunday, April 17th with additional shows at 3:30pm and 6:00pm. Comedians scheduled to perform in addition to Moore, Williams, Graham and Big Mountain, include William Nickerson, Eric Counts, Steve Mills, Michele VanDusen, Cheryl Henke, Jason Brown, Tommy B, John Fannell and GrapeTop.

Tickets for “Comedy for Freedom” are $25.00 and $50.00. The $50.00 tickets include a “Comedy for Freedom” t-shirt and VIP seating. Tickets are available by contacting Susan Dale of the Freedom Girls Foundation at 918 640-8924. Must be 18 or over. “Comedy for Freedom” is a non-smoking show.
